Work package n°1:  Project Management

Under the supervision and guidance of the coordinator MSK, the partnership ensured smooth cooperation and a successful project lifecycle. MSK monitored the project implementation and ensured that the quality, progress, and achievement of activities were secured, while all partners were involved in project quality assurance, impact evaluation, and monitoring. Friends We Share was a project at the core of inclusion and ensured that all project activities and deliverables were accessible to everyone. Lastly, it set up digital tools to facilitate activities and implemented green practices that guided the project.

Work package n°2:  Connection Programme

This work package consisted of dynamic, participatory activities co-developed with the project’s target groups. These actions allowed the consortium to gain a deeper understanding of the social realities and challenges faced by refugees settling in each partner country. Each partner identified the needs, key competences, and attitudes of the target groups, actively engaging refugees in the research and action processes. The Friends We Share Connection Programme focused on connecting newly arrived asylum seekers with successfully integrated refugees across European countries in order to strengthen cooperation, peer learning, and the exchange of experiences. In doing so, the programme fostered informal learning opportunities and intergenerational dialogue among individuals with refugee backgrounds.

Work package n°3:
Wellbeing Training Promoting Refugees' Programme for Adult Educators and Community Social Workers

In this work package, the consortium designed and piloted the implementation of the “Friends We Share – Promoting Refugees’ Wellbeing” Training Programme for Adult Educators and Community Social Workers. The programme focused on introducing the knowledge co-developed with asylum seekers in WP2 into the training of professionals working in refugee intervention and inclusion. The training programme included materials aimed at training Adult Educators, Community Social Workers, and Case Workers on how to incorporate mentors and role models into their interventions with newly arrived asylum seekers. It also addressed the core knowledge, skills, and competences that enabled successfully integrated refugees to thrive, and how these could be promoted through professional practice when supporting new asylum seekers.

Work package n°4:  Communication, Exploitation & Sustainability Strategies

The objective of this work package was to share the project results with a wide audience and raise awareness of how individuals can become active citizens in their local, national, and international communities, while promoting the inclusion of new asylum seekers and fostering their wellbeing. This objective contributed to the overall aims of the project, as the media and communication products created and promoted within this work package developed the knowledge, skills, and competences related to the project topics among those reached.
