Launching Our New Training Programme eBook

Strengthening Wellbeing and Inclusion Through Peer Support
In this issue of Friends We Share, we are delighted to announce the publication of our Training Programme eBook, a comprehensive educational resource developed across national and transnational activities. Building on the project’s commitment to friendship-based wellbeing, the eBook brings together insights, methodologies, and practical tools designed to support refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants.
Developed collaboratively by partners across Europe, the eBook translates the lived experiences of successfully integrated refugees into a structured, ready-to-use programme for adult educators, trainers, social workers, and community mentors.
What’s Inside the eBook
The Wellbeing Programme for Refugees with Role Models and Mentors is organised into five thematic modules, each offering conceptual grounding, practical activities, and three complete lesson plans:
Friends We Share Methodology and Findings – Key research and the conceptual framework underpinning friendship-based wellbeing.
Mentors and Role Models – How role modelling and mentoring enhance inclusion and adaptation.
Core Thriving Skills – Developing empathy, communication, and resilience as essential competencies for integration.
Refugee-Identified Good Practices – Inclusion strategies identified directly by refugees and translated into practical tools.
Supporting and Empowering Refugees’ Self-Resilience – Fostering autonomy, adaptability, and long-term wellbeing.
The programme integrates in-person workshops with structured self-study components, making it flexible and adaptable across different learning settings, including hybrid or digital environments.

Why It Matters
By turning project learning into an open educational resource, the Friends We Share eBook ensures that the programme’s impact will continue long after the project concludes. It empowers educators to promote wellbeing, belonging, and resilience through personal connection and community support.
Together, these efforts bring the project closer to its goal: fostering empathetic, welcoming, and resilient communities across Europe.
